Quincy Brown Wearing Rockford Collection at Power Book III Premiere

New York, NY – Aug 13, 2021 – The third installation of the Courtney A. Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson produced Starz smash hit series, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, premiered at New York City’s famed Hammerstein Ballroom this past weekend. The event was literally studded with stars including Omar Epps, Naturi Haughton, Lala Anthony, Joseph Sikora (playing lead in the upcoming fourth spinoff Power Book IV: Force) Mario van Peebles and of course the star of Raising Kanan, himself, Quincy Jones; son of late model Kimberly Jones and Al B. Sure, but raised by legendary owner of Bad Boy records, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.

Keeping in the spirit of the show’s timeline (prequel to the original Power) guests came in their hottest 90s gear. Everything from Kangol bucket hats, basketball jerseys, tracksuits and door knocker earrings. Quincy, however, elevated and modernized his throwback look by donning The Rockford Collection’s best-selling “La Paz” men’s diamond ring. Rockford Collection is an NYC Diamond District design studio helmed by engineers and craftsmen that are dedicated to evolving men’s rings. Though their designs were originally intended as engagement rings, the exquisite detail, innovative construction and high quality materials are quickly making them a stand-alone favorite amongst the in-crowd. No wedding invite required. The La Paz is a chunky, industrial chain link inspired concept that’s encrusted with diamonds on the outer rim, and featuring bigger 1.20 carat diamonds that align down the center in a pave setting. The classic version of this iconoclastic ring is available in either white, yellow or rose 14k or 18k gold, but also includes an EverBlak iteration lined with natural black diamonds and Black PVD for a strikingly dark, intense look. Quincy opted for the classic variation in radiant white gold, a perfect choice for the era of “bling”. Rockford Collection has been covered in prestigious publications such as Esquire UK (July 2019) GQ British (March 2019) and Brides Magazine UK (July/August 2018 and September/October 2018). Their newest collection includes an even wider array of trailblazing men’s ring designs including the thin, slim Cortez, and the thick, monogram-esque Betz reminiscent of a football team ring.

After the credits rolled at the premiere, 50 Cent hit the stage performing hits like “P.I.M.P” and the Power Book III theme song “Part of the Game” joined by Rileyy Lanez and NLE Choppa. 90s era Hip-Hop icons like Big Daddy Kane and Kool G Rap stepped on stage soon thereafter, and even current rap sensation, Da Baby, made a surprise appearance. The evening ended with an after-party at a Gotham Hall decked out with graffiti-laden walls and scenes from the Raising Kanan trailer playing on the walls.

Though Quincy is primarily known as an actor and model, he is also a talented musician with hits like “I Can Tell You”, “No Stress” and “Sunshine”. His latest two EP’s (released this year) “Time to Pop” and “JUICE” are available for purchase and streaming on all platforms now.
