EP3L Triumphantly Advances to Semi-Finals Despite National Federation’s Notice
October 11, 2023 – Noida – The Elite Pro 3×3 League (EP3L) has achieved a significant milestone by successfully advancing to the semi-finals, even in the face of an official notice from the Basketball Federation of India (BFI). This achievement is a testament to the unwavering support from the Indian basketball community. Earlier this week, the Basketball Federation of India released a notice on 26th September, urging players to abstain from participating in the EP3L. This move was seen by many as an attempt to thwart the aspirations of numerous athletes eager to compete in the league. However, EP3L remained undeterred, proceeding with the event as planned. This isn’t the first instance where the BFI has wielded its authority to dissuade or even ban players. In a joint statement, the EPBL (Elite Pro Basketball League) and EWPBL (Elite Women’s Pro Basketball League) expressed, “Our primary objective is the establishment of basketball leagues for Indian players and conducting promotional activities linked to the same. We are committed to elevating Indian basketball and its players.
