“Taiwan the Lucky Land”: Grand Release of Lucky Gifts with Additional Bonuses

Taiwan’s delightful cuisine, rich cultural heritage, and captivating tourist attractions are topics that never cease to amaze. Coupled with the warm and friendly hospitality of its people, Taiwan beckons visitors to return time and again. Since the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, international arrivals to Taiwan have rebounded and are projected to reach this year’s target of six million visitors. To expedite this recovery and entice travelers from around the world to choose Taiwan as their preferred destination, the Tourism Administration, MOTC, has launched a special campaign called the “Accelerate the Expansion of Attracting International Tourists Program – Visit Taiwan the Lucky Land.” Under this campaign, international individual travelers who hold a non-Republic of China (Taiwan) passport, will stay in Taiwan for 3-90 days, and are not part of a travel industry group (or availing other group incentives), have a chance to win prizes worth NT$5,000 in a lucky draw.

Applications for the “Taiwan the Lucky Land” campaign will remain open through June 30, 2025. An estimated 500,000 winners will be selected. They can choose either an “e-ticket” worth NT$5,000 or an “accommodation discount coupon” that is valid for 90 days. To ensure news of the campaign is spread widely, the overseas offices of the Tourism Administration are collaborating to launch promotional plans in diverse tourist markets.

To commemorate the upgrading this year of the Tourism Administration from the Tourism Bureau, additional prizes have been arranged for lottery winners between September 15 and December 31, 2023. These include options such as e-tickets and coupons for supermarkets, coffee shops and pharmacies. This initiative aims to revitalize tourism and establish a more diverse and innovative tourism model.

International tourists are warmly invited to visit Taiwan during this event. We welcome them to immerse themselves in the country’s captivating landscapes, savor its delectable cuisines, and embrace a plethora of unique experiences. In addition to all of Taiwan’s attractions, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the lucky draw and potentially win a gift valued at NT$5000, which can be used throughout their stay.

Please visit the campaign’s official website for detailed information:

Taiwan also extends a warm welcome to all foreign travelers who are transiting through the country. Foreign passengers with a layover duration of 7 to 24 hours can avail themselves of a free half-day tour during their stay. Reservations are required, and can be made at https://halfdaytour.taiwan.net.tw/.

To promote a fresh image for Taiwan tourism following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tourism Administration has released a new video entitled “Show@Taiwan.” The video highlights six themes: food, culture, entertainment, ecology, romance and shopping. International tourists are encouraged to visit Taiwan and showcase their unique travel experiences while sharing the beauty they encounter in Taiwan!
