Parisian singer Sami Aziz is announcing the December 25 release of his new album “DaVinci Is Dead Vol.2”, his first full project since relocating to Dubai, which blends his rap roots with Middle Eastern influences and offers social commentary meant to challenge listeners’ assumptions.

DUBAI, UAE – October 25, 2023 – Gifted Parisian singer and producer Sami Aziz, known affectionately by fans as King Sama, Supreme or MRLovE, is thrilled to finally announce his brand new album “DaVinci Is Dead Vol.2” dropping on December 25. This is Sami’s first full-length project since relocating to Dubai back in 2020, where he has fully immersed himself in the region’s bustling hip-hop and rap scene.

The move to Dubai marked an exciting new era in Sami’s already impressive career. While traces of his Parisian rap roots are still audible throughout the album, there are also more Arabic influences woven seamlessly into both lyrics and production, reflecting Sami’s total immersion into the local music community over the past three years. Sami found great inspiration and artistic growth through this transition into a new cultural landscape.

Giving eager fans a sneak preview, the lead single “MRLovE” drops on November 1. On this track, Sami shows off his versatility as a lyricist, insightfully tackling subjects like love, society and self-identity with his signature confidence and quick-witted wordplay. The seamless blend of Arabic textures and hard-hitting rap beats sets the tone for the album’s genre-bending, multicultural sound.

The grittier, vividly cinematic “Crimes Pays” follows on November 10, with Sami flexing his adept storytelling skills through this street tale. Then on November 20, comes “Gold Tooth”, where his natural talent for lively freestyling shines through the creative rhyme patterns and rapid-fire flows.

In Sami’s own words: “With ‘DaVinci Is Dead Vol.2’, I wanted to really dig deep into the current state of society and where we are headed. It’s a musical response to albums like Kanye’s ‘Jesus is King’ and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’. My aim is to give an unfiltered take on everything from black supremacy to the role of art and music. I want to make people think outside the box and challenge their assumptions.”

Originally from Paris, born to North African parents, Sami’s diverse background shaped his unique perspective and style. After becoming established on the Parisian rap scene and cementing his name through his acclaimed debut album, Sami was drawn to share his music with new audiences in the Middle East.

The creative community in Dubai warmly embraced Sami’s bold, thought-provoking sound. He’s grateful for the artistic relationships formed there and the chance to collaborate with local talent on this album.

When it drops on December 25, fans worldwide can find “DaVinci Is Dead Vol.2” across all major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and YouTube Music. Exclusive album merchandise will also launch on Sami’s website.

With its boundary-pushing lyrics, seamless fusion of Eastern and Western hip hop sounds, and infectious beats, “DaVinci Is Dead Vol.2” cements Sami Aziz as an undeniably exciting voice in Middle Eastern rap with immense talent and global appeal. This album promises to resonate with open-minded music fans worldwide.
