Seoul, Korea – The AI solution development company ‘ART Lab,’ led by Eom Tae-Ung, has recently launched the demo version of ‘SkinChat,’ intensifying efforts to expand its global market share.

According to ART Lab, SkinChat is an AI solution that can be effectively utilized in dermatology clinics, skincare clinics, beauty shops, etc. SkinChat is a service-oriented software (SaaS) in the form of a customer-tailored AI chatbot. Its strengths lie in implementing functions such as customer response and consultation tailored to medical institutions and corporate information, skin analysis and problem resolution, and recommending cosmetic products. In other words, it possesses the feature of automating the handling of customer inquiries regarding aging, skin conditions, cosmetic usage, etc., instead of relying on human resources.

Customers can easily set up SkinChat on all online customer communication channels, including websites, own online stores, applications, and social media. Moreover, administrators can conveniently manage chatbots and data through the management functions. Additional merits include the ability to personally select and input information for the chatbot to learn, the ability to use keyword data from AI chatbot consultation content to identify customer interests for marketing purposes, and easy management of 1:1 consultation content and recommended products for each customer.

Users can access the SkinChat service provided by client companies such as dermatology clinics, beauty shops, and clinics. After taking a selfie and uploading it, users can check the results of their skin analysis. Subsequently, they can inquire about skin concerns or receive recommendations for personalized cosmetics and beauty procedures tailored to their individual needs.

ART Lab’s SkinChat has been selected for the ‘2023 Promising SaaS Development and Support Project’ by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Institute for the Advancement of Technology. It is currently undergoing upgrades to its SaaS service. The platform has received high praise for minimizing labor costs associated with customer responses, providing 24-hour automatic consultation responses, delivering personalized information, analyzing the skin immediately through mobile photo shooting without the need for a separate app installation, and offering tailored product recommendations and consultation services. Additionally, it has been recognized for its excellent marketing effectiveness by inducing product purchase conversions through the process of connecting to purchase sites for recommended products.

The SaaS Development and Support Project comprehensively support the costs required for startups, transitions, and sustained growth of SaaS companies. The key is to select promising companies that can perform growth support roles correctly and innovative companies with excellent ideas. With ART Lab being selected as a target company for this project, it has secured the qualification for the development and commercialization of a large-scale AI-based dermatology and plastic surgery specialized consultation chatbot SaaS. This selection also enables substantial financial support, allowing ART Lab to dedicate efforts to new developments and enhancements in SaaS.

In addition, ART Lab has achieved success in entering the Indian market with the release of the SkinChat demo version, raising expectations. In fact, they recently signed a paid license agreement with the Indian local company ‘Soko House,’ garnering attention. Soko House has also begun prototype development. Currently, discussions for contract agreements with other Indian local companies such as Anita’s Aromatics, Founders Beauty, Harmony Remedies, HK Pharma, Sator, SkinBae, who have requested the demo version, are reportedly underway.

Meanwhile, ART Lab is in the process of business agreements with well-known Korean cosmetics brands such as 3WAAU from COSMAX and KYYB from BIFACTORY. The customized SkinChat developed for 3WAAU can be found on their website, and development for the KYYB version of SkinChat is also progressing. VOS Dermatology in Cheongdam-dong is already using SkinChat for consultations, and it can be viewed on their dermatology’s YouTube channel, ‘Pialnam,’ and website.

An ART Lab representative stated, “SkinChat is a vertical AI chatbot that combines skin diagnosis, product recommendation guides, and a dermatology knowledge database. It provides subscription-based software platform user management functions, enabling the creation of synergies such as user data analysis and expanding the scope of marketing utilization.” The representative further mentioned, “As SkinChat, which became a finalist at the 2023 Consmoprof India, attracts global attention, we plan to significantly expand global partnerships and grow the chatbot-based customized consultation solution for customers.” ART Lab is solidifying its position as a leading player in BeautyTech by hosting the 2nd Beauty Conference on December 19th.
