Zevrix Solutions announces LinkOptimizer 6.1.26, a maintenance update to company’s image workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer solves the problem of time-consuming manual image processing and relinking by automatically reducing InDesign links size as well as converting image formats, applying color profiles, and fine-tuning other properties. The new update fixes a monochrome image processing error in Photoshop and addresses UI issues on macOS Sonoma.

Toronto, ON, Canada – December 28, 2023 – Zevrix Solutions today announces the release of LinkOptimizer 6.1.26, a maintenance update to company’s image workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer solves the problem of complex image manipulation tasks by automation of manual processing that involves precise link replacement in InDesign after image editing in Adobe Photoshop. After editing images in Photoshop, LinkOptimizer reimports files to InDesign at 100% in their precise position.

The new version fixes an issue where an error could occur when processing monochrome images in Photoshop. Photoshop – which brands such images as ‘bitmap’ – returned an error when LinkOptimizer settings included any layer-related actions (such as image flattening or hidden layer deletion). With the new update, LinkOptimizer automatically bypasses such actions when processing monochrome black-and-white links. In addition, the update addresses a progress bar display issue on macOS Sonoma.

“LinkOptimizer has changed my life and saved me days and days of work as a retoucher for an international quarterly magazine,” says Steve Krason of Chicago based SK Design Group. “It’s a lifesaver”.

LinkOptimizer works automatically with Photoshop to eliminate the excess image data of InDesign links, convert image formats, and perform essential image adjustments. For example, with just a click of a button users can:

Batch-process InDesign files automatically

– Scale and crop images to match their InDesign dimensions

– Change their resolution to 300 dpi

Resave JPEG files as TIFF

– Convert RGB images to a CMYK profile

– Run a Photoshop action on each image.

As a result users can save gigabytes of drive space and countless hours of manual image optimizing, accelerate document output, reduce job turnaround, and cut costs through faster processing.

Pricing and Availability:

LinkOptimizer can be purchased from Zevrix website for US$259.95 (Lite version: $179.95) as well as from Adobe Exchange and authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for LinkOptimizer 6.x users and $130 to upgrade from previous versions. LinkOptimizer requires macOS 10.12-14.x and Adobe InDesign / Photoshop CS6-2024.
